Windows Master Control Panel (God Mode)
A quick old trick for Windows Vista and 7. As of Windows Vista, each Control Panel item is given a canonical name for use in programmatically launching that item. One not documented was found some time ago; it is know as Windows Master Control Panel (also known as God Mode). It includes links to 271 Windows maintenance and administration tasks.
If you want to get access to the known folder, just create a new folder wherever you prefer ending its name in “.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”. Some examples below (don’t include quotations):
“GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”
“WMCP.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}”
After naming the folder it will look like the Control Panel icon, because it is just another CPI. You can check Microsoft’s Canonical Names of Control Panel Items in case you want to create your own shortcuts.
Use it carefully, it is known that it can create problems on Windows Vista x64 systems, needing to boot in safe mode to remove it. There is no official Microsoft documentation related with this, so it is much more than unofficial. Enjoy it.
