This is my challenge: 100% Microsoft

Probably, from a technological point of view, mine is an hybrid profile. I don’t like the kind of fanaticism that moves people use something because it is cool, fashion or simply because they don’t want to be condemned by others. I like Microsoft products, but I recognize that they don’t do everything well, so I use to compare and then decide.

My day-to-day involves dealing with Microsoft products (servers, mail, database, etc.), and some of my friends call me “The Microsoft Man”, but I have a Google mail account, my Blog is hosted on Blogger; my phone is branded from RIM and I use to Skype friends, amongst others.

I should recognize that, although nowadays most important systems are well integrated, using different branded systems don’t let you get the maximum value of the products. In example, using Google Analytics with Internet Explorer 9 is not the same as using it with Chrome.

So, as long as I feel confortable with Microsoft products and I’m decided to explode the maximum value that they are offering to me, I’ve challenged myself and decided to adopt Microsoft solutions for my personal day-to-day and in the next months, I’ll be exploring and adopting the following products:

That is my personal challenge. I will keep posting weekly my personal experience with pros and cons of every change… without compassion.

Thanks for reading.
